As many of you are aware, the JET Program is facing its biggest threat since its inception 23 years ago. The Japanese government is considering downsizing or possibly eliminating the program altogether.

The Consulate General of Japan in New York would like to send a report highlighting all the positives of JET and JETAA, as well as how all contribute to your community and use the experiences and skills you’ve gained as a former JET Programme participant.
Chris Gravel is going to do a live radio interview at about 5:15pm today where he will talk about his experience on the JET Programme and what it has allowed him to achieve since returning to Ottawa. The interview will be on CBC Radio One, 91.5FM, if you're interested in listening.
Despite the rain, we had an exceptional turn out for our 6th annual Japanese Summer Festival. With over 260 attendees, it was our largest turn out yet. We've put together a small gallery highlighting events at the festival. Also, Takara Dojo was kind enough to share a video of their demonstration.
